Teams:

Windies (Playing XI): Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope(w), Marlon Samuels, Jason Mohammed, Rovman Powell, Jason Holder(c), Ashley Nurse, Jerome Taylor, Alzarri Joseph, Miguel Cummins

England (Playing XI): Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan(c), Jos Buttler(w), Sam Billings, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, Liam Plunkett, Jake Ball

England have won the toss and have opted to field

Alex Hales, too, won-t be available for this encounter as he-s busy helping the police with their enquiries. His former opening partner Jason Roy should come in as a like-for-like replacement for him, with one of Jake Ball or Tom Curran claiming Stokes- spot. We might see a couple of changes in the Windies line-up too. All that in a bit as we wait for toss....

It says a lot about the remainder of the series that this fourth ODI won-t even be the most important cricketing event happening in England today. The squad for the Ashes was announced a short while back, and sights have already been set on their tour Down Under. Nevertheless, West Indies still have a chance to bounce back in these last couple of games and level it all up, however unlikely that seems right now. Transitioning from T20 to ODIs has never been so painful. It will take many more bars for them to arrest England-s momentum, even though they won-t have to worry about arresting Ben Stokes-s momentum - someone else took care of that. We-ll find out if the visitors have it in them. Welcome everyone to our live coverage of this penultimate encounter from the Oval.

The build up to the fourth ODI between England and Windies at the Oval on Wednesday (September 27) has been rather overshadowed. With news emerging of Ben Stokes-s arrest in the early hours of Monday morning in Bristol, an Ashes squad announcement to take place this week plus the final round of the County Championship coming to an exciting conclusion, this game is in danger of passing many people by.

Stokes and Alex Hales, who is helping the Avon & Somerset police with their enquiries, are both unavailable for England following the incident in Bristol which means there will be opportunities for others in England-s squad to stake their claims. The incident has clearly put a dampener on what has been a commanding series so far for the home side and also raises questions as to Stokes-s involvement in the Ashes series this winter.

On the field, England lead the ODI series 2-0 - the other game was washed out - and even without Stokes and Hales, Eoin Morgan-s men should have enough to overcome a poor Windies team. Despite Chris Gayle showing he is still very much a force to be reckoned with, scoring a brilliant 94 off 78 balls in the third match at Bristol - an innings which included six sixes - there has been little else to cheer for the visitors.

Whereas England have plenty of strength in depth, Windies do not and so a change of personnel is unlikely to make much difference. It would instead take quite a swing of form and perhaps a loss of focus from England for the tourists to take either of the remaining two matches. History doesn-t bode well for Windies either: England have won nine of their last eleven ODIs at the Oval and beat Bangladesh comfortably here earlier in the season during the Champions Trophy.

What to expect: The weather forecast is the first thing cricketers check in September in England and it bodes well for tomorrow. There is even, dare we believe it, the prospect of some sun. The Oval pitch should be hard and flat, and good for batting. There were five scores of over 300 here in the Champions Trophy including Pakistan-s 338-4 against India in the final.

Team News:

England: Without Alex Hales at the top of the order, Jason Roy will return to the side at his home ground looking to reassert himself in ODI cricket. Either Jake Ball or Tom Curran will replace Stokes with Moeen Ali, fresh from his brilliant 53 ball hundred in Bristol, moving up to number six.

Probable XI: Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan (c), Jos Buttler (w), Moeen Ali, Jake Ball/Tom Curran, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, Liam Plunkett, David Willey

Windies: Given their lack of options, Windies may stick with the same team that played in Bristol. If they were to contemplate a change, seamer Alzzari Joseph could come in to the side for Miguel Cummins who conceded more than nine runs an over in the west country.

Probable XI: Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope (w), Marlon Samuels, Jason Mohammed, Rovman Powell, Jason Holder (c), Ashley Nurse, Devendra Bishoo, Jerome Taylor, Alzzari Joseph

What they said:

"Ben and Alex will be unavailable for tomorrow-s game so there are two positions up for grabs. It has been a bit of a distraction but this game is about winning the series" - Eoin Morgan, England-s limited-overs skipper, says the team is focussed on the upcoming game.

Did you know?

England have won 14 out of the last 15 completed ODIs, including the last seven completed games, against West Indies starting from March 2009.

Chris Gayle needs three more sixes to become the third player to hit 250 sixes in ODIs after Shahid Afridi (351) and Sanath Jayasuriya (270).

Joe Root needs 60 more runs to complete 4000 runs in ODIs. If he gets there in the next three innings, he will be the fastest Englishman and third fastest overall to reach the milestone.

Windies (From): Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope(w), Marlon Samuels, Jason Mohammed, Rovman Powell, Jason Holder(c), Ashley Nurse, Devendra Bishoo, Jerome Taylor, Miguel Cummins, Kesrick Williams, Sunil Ambris, Kyle Hope, Alzarri Joseph

England (From): Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy, Joe Root, Eoin Morgan(c), Jos Buttler(w), Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Liam Plunkett, David Willey, Adil Rashid, Tom Curran, Jake Bal
